Brooklyn detectives are searching for a suspect who brutally attacked a man with a metal object after a traffic accident last month.
The NYPD released surveillance footage Friday night showing the suspect involved in the June 12 assault, which occurred around 1:45 p.m. outside a residence on the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue in Cypress Hills.
According to police, the suspect got into a verbal argument with the 36-year-old victim following the crash. The confrontation escalated when the suspect pulled out a metal object and struck the victim multiple times in the head and body.
After the assault, the attacker fled the scene in a black vehicle headed in an unknown direction.
The incident was reported to the 75th Precinct. EMS transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
